Autumn Term

This term, our whole school topic is 'Our World, Our Planet'.

Our class focus is Space. From our Base Camp Day activities, we have decided to focus our learning on the following enquiry questions;

• 1) How do the planets differ?
• 2) What is our Solar System?
• 3) What is the Earth made of?

Base Camp Day

For Base Camp Day this term, we completed a carousel of activities to inspire our learning about our new topic, 'Our World, Our Planet'. Year 3, 4 and 5 in Dosbarth Pen Y Fan and Dosbarth Cadair Idris completed a range of activities based on space. We recreated paintings of different planets, designed our own alien characters using video clips and images to inspire our ideas and created our own rockets using balloons.

Techniquest

we visited Techniquest to further extend our knowledge about Space and our Solar System. We enjoyed exploring the planetarium where we listened to information about the solar system and we got a close look at the different planets. We enjoyed shared our knowledge that we have learnt so far.
