Autumn Term

Dosbarth Crib Goch celebrated Base Camp Day after receiving a letter from Barnaby Bear, who challenged them to follow a set of directions to find the monument and Barnaby's notebook. Along their journey, the children explored significant buildings within the local community, searched for two-digit numbers, and developed their mapping and navigation skills. They also learned about the monument, discovering what it represents and why it is important to the local area. The children showed excellent teamwork, enthusiasm, and curiosity throughout the day as they completed each challenge set by Barnaby Bear.

The children have decided upon three enquiry questions for our new topic, 'Our World, Our Planet':

• Why do countries around the world have landmarks?
• Which animals can be found on each continent of the world?
• How do we protect our planet?

The children are looking forward to exploring these questions and discovering the answers through exciting activities and investigations during the term ahead. We can't wait to learn more about the world around us and how we can help care for it.
