Autumn Term 2025

'Battles and Bravery'

Our topic this term is ‘Battles and Bravery’, and pupils in Dosbarth Yr Wyddfa will be focusing specifically on WW2 and The Blitz. Pupils will find out how the Second World War affected Wales. Why children were evacuated from their homes and what impact the Second World War had on the towns and valleys of Wales.

Base Camp Day

We travelled to Brecon to the Royal Welsh Regimental Museum and took part in the workshop ‘Blighty in the Blitz’, we learnt about daily life during WW2, the role of the air raid warden and experienced an air raid in an Anderson Shelter.
