Ian Thomas Sevens 2024

After the disappointment of postponing the sevens in July due to bad weather, the 2024 tournament finally took place at Cae Gof on Friday 15th November.

This was the 44th Ian Thomas Memorial Sevens and it continues to be an important day in the school calendar. There were new developments this year, with the first Girls Tag Rugby competition and the referees being organised by the WRU hub officer and Ospreys Community Team.

An excellent day of rugby drew to a close at 2.30pm and the school is, as always, grateful to Cefn Cribwr RFC for their support.

Llongyfarchiadau mawr i Tim Merched Tag

Llongyfarchiadau mawr i Tim Rygbi Merched Bl 5/6! A huge congratulations to our Y5/6 Tag Rugby team which won the Mid Glamorgan Urdd Tournament on Thursday 30th November at Newbridge Fields. The girls won all their group games before progressing through Quarter and Semi Final matches. The final against Dolau Primary School was a tight affair with Cefn edging the win 6-5. This is a huge achievement for a group of girls who only came together a side in September! They will play in the Urdd National Finals in May.
